In 1996 Patti moved to Rochester and performed with the Syracuse Symphony, Rochester Philharmonic and Buffalo Philharmonic as well as with Ensemble Intercontemporain under the direction of David Robertson. In 2001 she was Principal Clarinetist of the Syracuse Symphony, and in 2002 JoAnn appointed her to two one-year positions with the BPO. She won the permanent position in March of 2004.
